Just a quick heads up. I like to pat it on with my fingers till it sinks in, then do a light blending with the brush.Įdit: there is also no SPF at all in this, so I can't even remotely justify not wearing sunscreen with it. It eats up a lot of the product because it's so watery. I also bought the brush NYX recommends to go with the serum, and I wasn't a fan. I am still trying to figure this out, and it's the only real downside of the product for me. It might be due to silicone content in the serum, because it is high in the ingredient list. I'm not thrilled with this particular moisturizer for various reasons, so I'm blaming the moisturizer, but figured I'd share. A word of warning about layering though: I layered it over an Estee Lauder moisturizer I've been testing out from a sample I received, and it pilled up like CRAZY. You could definitely put some powder over it to get a little more coverage and kill the shine. This fit the bill! But if you want noticeable coverage and a matte/satin finish, this definitely is not for you. What I was hoping for was something slightly moisturizing that evens out the redness, doesn't emphasize flakes or lines, and doesn't really look like I'm wearing makeup. I deal with a lot of flaky dryness, some slight redness, and some faint fine lines. I'm very cool-pink toned, and it works well for me, but it's so light and neutral I think it probably works fine across most tones if they have your shade. You get extremely light coverage, just enough to balance out color and provide some minimal blurring. There is a very slight stickiness that might bother some people, but I prefer it to the chalky drydown of a lot of other light foundations/tinted moisturizers. It's really light and watery and dries slightly dewy. The formula is pretty great for what I was looking for. It's not the worst thing ever, I guess, but again, it's super super weird. The bottle is glass, but the top is like a plastic udder with a tiny screw-on top that you have to squeeze to get drops out. The packaging is super weird and I hope they change it. I looked on here for reviews but couldn't find anything, so I figured I'd add some quick impressions of my own and hope others chime in too.Ī couple of photos showing a swatch of the shade Light, and the packaging. I picked this up at Ulta after seeing it on the NYX website and was intrigued! The marketing reminded me of the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint I've been lusting after (though it's definitely not the same product).
